FDI, economic growth, and carbon emissions of the Chinese steel industry: new evidence from a 3SLS model

Determine the main factors affecting carbon emissions of Chinese steel industry is indispensable commitments to achieve sustainable development China. Hereby, based on Stochastic Impacts by Regression Population, Affluence and Technology (STIPRAT) model, this paper combines economic growth function, emission production FDI function industry, uses three-stage least square equation model (3SLS) analyze relationship between China’s growth, in (foreign direct investment) inflows. The results document a complete two-way causal three variables whole country Western region, while Eastern region Central not complete. Moreover, there are no bidirectional only causality region. These findings great significance for formulate effective reduction policies.
